As more stadiums for the tournament are being completed for the FIFA WC 2022, details are coming to light about a few of the luxurious elements in the stadiums.

The FIFA World Cup in Qatar is still a few years away. As more stadiums for the tournament are being completed, details are coming to light about a few of the luxurious elements in the stadiums. In a video posted on Tuesday, a luxury hotel room in Al Bayt Stadium in the northern city of Al Khor can be seen.

Hotel rooms with a view of the football field 

In this stadium, fans and spectators will be able to watch matches of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar with their own Hotel Suite located inside the stadium. The video shows a large hotel room with a balcony view of the football field below. According to reports, this stadium could be completed in the coming weeks and will have a capacity of around 60,000. Its surroundings will include a park and artificial lake, according to artist renders.

The Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy, which is overseeing the organisation of the 2022 World Cup, earlier said the Al Bayt stadium would be completed in December. In total, eight stadiums will be used during the 2022 World Cup. Seven of those are being built from scratch. The eighth one, Khalifa International Stadium, was opened in May 2018 after undergoing renovations and upgrades. Last May, the Al Wakrah Stadium was officially inaugurated.

Final to be held on Qatar National Day 

2022 World Cup will mark the first World Cup that will not be held in May, June, or July. It will begin on November 21 with the final being held on December 18, which is Qatar National Day. The final will be played in the Lusail Stadium, which will be able to hold 80,000 football fans. Most of the stadiums are located close to each other, with spectators not having to travel a long distance to watch the matches.

"The Russian World Cup was the best ever, and the World Cup in 2022 has to be even better," FIFA President Gianni Infantino said in Qatar. "I think this World Cup is extremely important, not only for Qatar but for the whole region - a region that has a passion for football and is investing a lot in the game."
