British heavyweight boxer Dereck Chisora told SNTV on Friday that he's considering a move to fight a "top contender" in Bellator MMA if he faces a long wait to take on the undefeated Ukrainian, Oleksandr Usyk.

The Zimbabwe-born boxer was due to fight Usyk on May 23rd at London's O2 Arena but the fight has been left in limbo due to the coronavirus pandemic.

The fight's promoter, Eddie Hearn, this month announced plans to stage a series of open air bouts behind closed doors in the grounds of Matchroom Sport's headquarters in Essex, England.

But Chisora told SNTV the Usyk fight "needs a crowd in an arena."

During the lockdown Chisora has kept himself busy selling personalised face masks to raise money for the Royal Free Charity, which is supporting hospitals in north London during the coronavirus pandemic.
