Ding Junhui is happy to have spectators back at the World Snooker Championship, which got underway at the Crucible in Sheffield this weekend.

The tournament is being played in front of a limited number of spectators as part of a UK government trial to get fans back at sports events amid the coronavirus pandemic.

The Crucible is permitted to operate at 33% capacity for the opening round of this year's competition and could be full for the final early next month.

Ding meanwhile will take on former world champion Stuart Bingham in the first round on Monday.

The Chinese player made the final back in 2016 but has been eliminated in the second round in his two most recent appearances at the tournament.
