Dana White is the President of the largest MMA promotion in the world – the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). He has made possible some of the most intriguing fights the fans never knew they would see. From bringing in WWE guys like Brock Lesnar and CM Punk to allowing a cross-sport bout between boxing legend Floyd Mayweather and Conor McGregor. Dana White also tried making a fight happen between Justin Bieber and Tom Cruise.

Dana White - Early in his career

Dana White always aspired to break into the fight business. The man has done everything to learn his trade; from being a corner-man to officiating fights as a referee, and even working as a fight manager. Things took a turn after he met his old friend Lorenzo Fertitta and his brother Frank, who together purchased the sinking UFC at the time and took it to unimaginable heights.

Dana White - Working with WWE and cross-sport events

The UFC President has worked with the WWE on a number of occasions. A recent example is that of former UFC heavyweight champion Cain Velasquez. Many believe that after competing for Lucha Libra Triple-A and an appearance on Smackdown Fox debut, Cain has officially signed a contract with the billion-dollar company and retired from the face-punching industry, but in fact, Cain still has fights left with the UFC and Dana White has allowed the Mexican to show up on several wrestling promotions and WWE Programming which is sure to get them further exposure and a new audience.

On the contrary, he allowed Brock Lesnar to compete in a one-off fight against Mark Hunt at the UFC200 PPV while Lesnar was employed with the WWE.

Dana White's involvement in Conor McGregor vs Floyd Mayweather

Dana White was indeed one of the men who let the fantasy fight between Conor and Mayweather come to life. However, one should note Mayweather Promotions was the lead promoter of the fight and Dana White’s role was to allow Conor McGregor to participate in the event. The UFC President Dana White essentially helped add marketing weight to the fight through UFC promos.
