"We must give a befitting reply to Pakistan for the Pulwama terror attack. It has become a habit for them. So many Armymen have died and Pakistan thinks it is all right to kill our Army men and have faced no consequence. Laato ke bhoot baaton se nahi maante he.

"The question of playing cricket with them, or to have trade relations with them, is inconsequential, we must give a befitting reply to their attack. Are we supposed to get justice or the Armymen? If they slap us we must slap them back. There must be an inquiry and an attack. You will not get justice just by stopping playing cricket with them," he said.

On resolving terror issue with Pakistan through talks, he said that talking to the country has not transpired any result.

"Since we were kids, we have been hearing that we must sort the terror issue with talks, has it ever happened?"

The dastardly Pulwama terror attack was carried out by Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammed on February 14, 2019. Following the attack, the Joint Forces of Indian Army, J-K police neutralised three JeM terrorists including Kamran who was commander for the group in the region and a close aide of the organisation's founder masoor Azhar.

India has found support globally after the attack, with France wanting Azhar to be named in the UNSC sanctioned list and Russia backing India to declare him as a global terrorist in United Nations Security Council (UNSC).
