Falling feline gets saved at Miami football game

A cat survived a dramatic fall Saturday inside a packed American football stadium in Miami Gardens.

The animal had somehow got into Hard Rock Stadium, where No. 22 Miami were playing Appalachian State.

It got caught by one of its paws off the façade of the upper deck.

It eventually fell to the lower level of the stadium, where fans using an American flag as a makeshift net were able to safely catch it before it was carried off to safety.

The cat didn't show any signs of injury.

Stadium officials praised the fans for coming to the cat's rescue.

"We wish the cat the best in his remaining eight lives," the stadium tweeted.
