The makers of Game of Thrones have released a preview of the fifth episode of the ongoing seventh season of the show.

The episode is titled Eastwatch — almost certainly an indication that the Easternmost outpost of the Night's Watch on the Wall, Eastwatch-by-the-Sea, will feature prominently.

The 30-second clip, however, appears to begin far south of there, in the aftermath of the climactic battle between Daenerys Targaryen and her Dothraki Khalasar versus the Lannisters and the Tarlys.

Daenerys appears to give the remnant of the Lannister army a choice, though Tyrion Lannister, her Hand of the Queen, appears to be having second thoughts and seeks counsel from Varys the Spider. Meanwhile, in King's Landing, Queen Cersei discussed the plan of action with her Hand, Maester Qyburn.

However, the crux of the preview revolves around something Jon Snow, who appears to rally with a returned Daenerys at Dragonstone, gleans from contact with the Three-Eyed Raven, Bran Stark.

Eastwatch, the fifth episode of the seven-part Game of Thrones Season 7 releases on the morning of Monday (August 14) IST.

Epilogue: Eastwatch appears to have served more as a connecting episode, bridging the gap between the massive Dragon-flame-fuelled war in the previous episode and what appears to be a very cold escapade in the next. It saw some of our favourite characters crisscrossing the continent of Westeros, with Dany returning to Dragonstone following her victory in the Reach, and Tyrion and Ser Davos making a short trip to King's Landing before a number of characters take a ship all the way to the Wall, and then set foot through its portals to the vast and dangerous north. Coming up is possibly the most dangerous mission of all time, as with the Army of the Dead bearing down on the land of the living, the King in the North and his band of warriors have set forth to steal an undead soldier and present it to Cersei.
