Great Britain and China head medals table at World Rowing Cup II

China and Great Britain topped the medal table with three golds each at the second regatta of the 2021 World Rowing Cup series.

China and Great Britain topped the medal table with three golds each at the second regatta of the 2021 World Rowing Cup series.

It was Spain that came out on top in the women's pairs - Aina Cid and Virginia Diaz Rivas holding off Ireland1 and Romania.

Reigning World champion Sanita Puspure of Ireland had to settle for third in the women's single sculls.

European champion Hanna Prakhatsen of Russia took the win - American Kara Kohler was second.

As predicted, World and European champion Oliver Zeidler took the men's single sculls crown Behind the German - Denmark's Sverri Nielsen and Kjetil Borch of Norway.

A tight battle in the men's eight between the World champion Germans and the European champion British boat. It was neck-and-neck to the line - Great Britain taking the gold on the final stroke.
