Neeraj Chopra is on cloud nine after winning gold in the men's javelin final at the World Athletics Championships 2023 in Budapest. The Indian javelin star overcame other track and field athletes to take the massive sweep and become the first Indian to win gold in the grand event. Chopra has also qualified for the 2024 Olympics as well. It is a major achievement for Chopra, and he has been a major buzz in the country since his win. It is indeed a moment to celebrate, but Neeraj has his sight set on something else.

After the World Championship gold run, Neeraj Chopra is heading to Zurich for the Diamond League, which will begin on August 31, 2023. Chopra's upcoming participation will be his third Diamond League appearance after Doha and Lausanne. Chopra is named as one of the entries alongside Finland's Oliver Helander, Germany's Julian Weber and Czech Republic's Jakub Vadlejch, among others.

Chopra has already faced Helander, Weber, and Vadlejch in the World Athletics Championships 2023, and it will be no easy feat for him to compete alongside world-class athletes.

Not just Chopra but Kishore Jena and D.P. Manu also had a top-8 finish at the Men's javelin event. Jena had a personal best of 84.77m, while Manu topped at 84.14m. Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem topped was at number 2 with an 87.82m mark, which was his season best.
Neeraj Chopra has become the first-ever Indian to win World Championship gold, and his podium finish has brought joy. Since clinching the gold medal, Chopra has issued his first message, and he has expressed his joy of becoming a Champion.
