McGregor stretchered away after leg break at UFC 264

Conor McGregor broke his leg in the first round of his latest fight at UFC 264 against Dustin Poirier.

Poirier was awarded the win via doctor's stoppage after the Irishman rolled his ankle when stumbling backward.

The build-up to the fight was predictably ill-tempered, with McGregor declaring before the fight: "I'm gonna make this man pay with his life. And I mean it!" after the pair faced off at the ceremonial weigh-ins on Friday.
