Nate McMillan says 'People of India have been fantastic to us'
Nate McMillan, the Indiana Pacers' coach, during a post-match press conference on Saturday stated that "The people of India have been fantastic to us."

Nate McMillan, the Indiana Pacers' coach during a post-match press conference on Saturday stated, "The people of India have been fantastic to us since we have arrived. It has been nothing but great hospitality." Speaking about the two NBA games on Friday and Saturday, he said that they enjoyed their time in India and "the two games were really good." McMillan also lauded the hospitality that they received in India.
The Indiana Pacers won the inaugural game in a 132-131 face-off against the Sacramento Kings. According to Millan, winning is not the most important thing. He stated that he was more focused to see his guys as they have several new players in their roster this year. The Indiana Pacers included seven new players in their roster.
Myles Turner's statement
Myles Turner, an American basketball player who plays for the Indiana Pacers team joined coach Nate McMillan during the press conference on Saturday. Turner termed his trip to India as 'amazing'. Further, he also stated that "the way we were received in the country was extremely humble."

First NBA match in India
The National Basketball Association (NBA) set its foot in India on October 4. The two NBA teams- Sacramento Kings and the Indiana Pacers played their first-ever match in Mumbai at the NSCI Dome in Mumbai on Friday and Saturday. The Indiana Pacers won the inaugural game in a 132-131 face-off against the Sacramento Kings. This is the first time that a North American team has played in India. According to reports, this move indicates the strengthening relationship between the US and India. Prime Minister Narendra Modi termed the NBA match as a 'historic day'.
