The NHL has a tradition of victorious players getting a 'Day with the Cup' when they get to bring the Stanley Cup to their home towns to celebrate. This summer, not all players will receive their day.

On Wednesday the NHL announced the Cup will not be allowed to travel to Russia or Belarus given the currently geo-political climate.

That means that players like Tampa's Nikita Kucherov, Mikhail Sergachev and Andrei Vasilevskiy or Colorado's Mikhail Maltsev and Valerie Nichushkin will not be able to have their days in the near future.
