Papa Massata Diack - son of former IAAF president Lamine Diack - once again denied corruption during a news conference in Dakar, Senegal on Monday, insisting that a trial in France that found himself and his father guilty is part of a wider conspiracy.

Diack also hinted he had knowledge of wrongdoing involving other sports governing bodies, including the IOC, and said he would speak out against people who tarnished his father's image.

The 87-year-old Lamine Diack was convicted of corruption last week in France in relation to a Russian doping scandal and sentenced to two years in prison, with another two years suspended.

The scheme allowed Russian athletes who paid millions in bribes to keep competing when they should have been suspended for doping.

Papa Massata Diack was also found guilty of corruption and sentenced to five years in prison in his absence, as Senegal has not extradited him to France.
