Despite the absence of their captain and lead raider Deepak Niwas Hooda, Panthers were able to defeat the Bulls only by relying on the skills of Deepak Narwal and Nilesh Salunke. Similarly, Bengaluru's captain Rohit Kumar once again missed the match due to his injury. In the penultimate minute of the game, Sandeep successfully tackled Pawan to give Panthers a two-point lead.
