Mercedes-Benz EQ's Stoffel Vandoorne finally won a race as he romped home in Round Six of the ABB Formula E Race at Home Challenge in Support of UNICEF on Saturday, converting pole position at the fourth time of asking.

The Belgian driver controlled the race to take the chequered flag around the Brooklyn docklands in New York virtual circuit.

Pascal Wehrlein was able to sneak home in second - a good return following a pre-race grid penalty for the German-Mauritian - ahead of Britain's Oliver Rowland

With the victory, Vandoorne leapfrogs Wehrlein in the points table and takes a two-point lead into next weekend's double-header finale.
