WATCH: Bike riders indulge in a fist fight in the middle of a race; Authorities hand them two-year suspension

All hell broke loose at the Costa Rica National Motorbike Championship when two riders Jorge Martinez and Marion Calvo were involved in an ugly fist fight while the race was in progress.

Just over a month after the fans witnessed insane scenes during Costa Rica National Motorbike Championship, which saw Jorge Martinez and Marion Calvo indulge in an ugly fist fight between the race, both the riders have been banned for a period of two years from the event.

As the two riders jockeyed for position, Martinez's bike had a collision with Calvo's bike. The bike halted and a furious Martinez confronted Calvo before the duo engaged in a fist fight while the other riders zoomed past. The race was red-flagged before they were showed their way out fof the race.

While the incident had taken place in February, the Costa Rican federation have now announced their punishment to both the riders for their atrocious behaviour during the middle of the race. Both Martinez and Calvo have been handed two-year suspensions.
