He said, "I'd like to extend my gratitude that Pune, Maharashtra was chosen for the 'Khelo India Youth Games 2019' I believe that it is a moment of sublimity for us because the games that will happen here, the players of the country will wave the country's flag in the world. These players will get ready from Pune. I believe that our players, no matter what the atmosphere they just play. I'm confident that the games here would be very successful."

"Friends, we all know Swami Vivekanand who always said 'I want to tell the youth that instead of going to a temple, go to a football field and play'. I believe the message Swami Vivekanand gave us back then, the same message in the right spirit the Indian government is implementing today. That is why 'Kehlo India Youth Game' is such a platform that lets all the young players of India express their game. From here, the players who will take the country's name up will be chosen from here by the Indian government," he added.

Fadnavis made an announcement of constructing its first sports university in the state and invest more in sports grounds and facilities, saying, 'Taking inspiration from you, Maharashtra has decided to construct its first sports university in Aurangabad. The second decision we've made that now we will give 5 crores, instead of one crore to build stadiums and invest more so that we can give great players to the country and world. I'd like to welcome everybody."
