Usain Bolt was reportedly taking part in a promotional event for champagne brand Mumm, which is said to be designed for future space tourism.

Legendary sprinter Usain Bolt was one of the best in the field when it came to running. The Jamaican was arguably the greatest sprinter of all time, and held many records and dominated wherever he competed.

If earning the reputation of being the fastest man on earth wasn't enough, Jamaican sprint legend Usain Bolt has gone a step further by becoming the fastest man even in zero gravity.

The 32-year-old was back at the finish line, but this time dressed in a space-suit. The Jamaican sprinter was reportedly taking part in a promotional event for champagne brand Mumm, which is said to be designed for future space tourism. 

Usain Bolt took to Twitter to post a video of the unique experience where he is seen racing with two other competitors inside a modified Airbus A310 plane. Here's the video footage of how the race transpired.

After showing his athletic prowess, the track field legend used the occasion to toast his victory by drinking champagne with French astronaut Jean-Francois Clervoy and designer Octave de Gaulle. He posted a picture of the same on social media, in which the caption read: "Changing the game @GHMUMM. Celebrating life by drinking @GHMUMM in Zero Gravity #DareWinCelebrate #NextVictory."

Since his retirement from athletics, the eight-time Olympic champion has always expressed his desire to be involved in football. And now, it seems his wish of becoming a professional footballer is getting ever so close, after he was given permission to train with a club. Central Coast Mariners, an A-league team.

Speaking about this opportunity, he told the club's website, "I am very excited about coming to Australia and would like to thank the owner and management of the Central Coast Mariners for giving me this opportunity.

The 31-year-old is an ardent fan of English giants Manchester United, and has played at their home ground, Old Trafford, when he featured in the UNICEF fundraiser match for World XI against England.

Usain Bolt has previously had the privilege of training with German giants Borussia Dortmund, South African club Mamelodi Sundowns FC and Norwegian club Strømsgodset.
