It is said that Sania-Kashyap managed to keep their relationship hush-hush as they hung out with other popular badminton players among the current lot like Kidambi Srikanth and HS Prannoy.

Saina is one of the most popular badminton players in the history of the sport in India, reaching the pinnacle of the rankings and winning 23 titles, which most importantly, includes a bronze medal at the 2012 Olympics. The shuttler has won multiple gold medals for the country at the Commonwealth Games. Saina, along with PV Sindhu, are credited with bringing the spotlight on the sport in recent years.

She has been bestowed with the country’s top-most sporting honours like Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and the Arjuna Award. Saina is also a Padma Bhushan recipient, third-highest civilian award from the Government. A biopic on her life and career is currently in the works and will see Shraddha Kapoor stepping into her shoes.

Kashyap, on the other hand, is the first Indian male player to make it to the quarterfinals at the Olympics, in 2012. He also won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, apart from a silver and bronze medal each. He had even reached up to no 6 in the rankings previously.
