Gael Monfils helps France to 2-1 win over Chile in ATP Cup Group A in Brisbane
France defeated Chile 2-1 on Saturday to secure its first victory at the ATP Cup. Benoite Paire opened the Group A encounter in Brisbane, Australia with a 6-7 (3), 6-3, 6-3 win over Nicolas Jarry.

Gael Monfils then colinched the best-of-three tie, rallying from a break down in the second set and saving three breakpoints as he served for the match in a 6-3, 7-5 win over Cristian Garin.
Cristian Garin and Nicolas Jarry then teamed up to defeat Nicolas Mahut and Edouard Roger-Vasselin 7-5, 6-2 to win the doubles match for Chile.
