World No.3 and 20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has enjoyed a smooth Australian Opne 2019 till now. He has breezed into the round of 16 following three consecutive three-set wins, and will face Stefanos Tsitsipas for a place in the quarter-finals.

While on the pitch, he is having no trouble whatsoever, he suffered a massive embarrassment off it. A video is making rounds on internet, where Federer, on his way to the locker room, was stopped. And the reason is as hilarious as it gets!

Federer had forgotten his accreditation pass as he was on his way to the room. The security staff standing outside, realizing that the Swiss doesn't have his card, stopped him from going further. It was only when Federer's coach Ivan Ljubicic showed the card that the 37-year-old was allowed to enter the locker room. Following this humorous incident, the security staff had a laugh about it.

The Twitterati were in splits following this funny sequence of events, and they even praised Federer for his humility to not lose his cool and obey the rules.

The Swiss is looking to win his seventh Australian Open title and 21st Grand Slam title. In the first round, he breezed past Denis Istomin in straght sets, beating him 6-3 6-3 6-4.  Federer found the going tough in the second match against Dan Evans. He was made to work hard by the Brit, but eventually beat him 6-3 7-6 7-5.  And in the round of 32 fixture, the 37-year-old made easy game of unseeded Taylor Fritz, beating him 6-2 7-5 6-2 to confirm a round of 16 berth.
