'There is no place for terrorism in the world', says Sania Mirza condemning the dastardly Pulwama terror attack on CRPF Jawans

India lost many brave soldiers in a deadly terror attack on Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon.A total of 40 CRPF jawans (as per PTI) were martyred and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade.

India lost many brave soldiers in a deadly terror attack on Pulwama district of South Kashmir on Thursday afternoon. A total of 40 CRPF jawans (as per PTI) were martyred and many suffered severe injuries in the deadliest terror attack on security forces in a decade. As per CPRF sources, the 54 Battalion of CRPF was attacked with an IED blast. The attack was targeted at a CRPF convey of nearly 70 vehicles that were heading from Jammu back to Srinagar.

Reacting to the barbaric incident, Indian Tennis player Sania Mirza conveyed her sincere condolences to the families of martyr soldiers and voiced her opinion further stating that 'there is no place for terrorism in the world'

Terrorists attacked a vehicle from the convoy when it was passing through the Pulwama district on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway. There was 35 personnel aboard the vehicle that was attacked and 100 kg of explosive was used in IED blast, CRPF sources informed.

Pakistan based terror outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed has claimed responsibility for the terror attack in a text message to Kashmiri News Agency GNS

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi addressed the nation ensuing that people behind the attack will be punished. The attack was strongly condemned across the globe. The White House has asked Pakistan to immediately end being "support" and "safe haven" to all terror groups as it condemned the Pulwama terrorist attack.

India has also withdrawn the Most Favoured Nation (MFN) status accorded to Pakistan in light of the dastardly terror attack in Pulwama on the CRPF Jawans.
