India head coach Gautam Gambhir is a hot-headed person and there is no secret to it. He has been caught on camera multiple times giving it back to oppositions. Gambhir had recently been in news for losing his cool on Virat Kohli during an IPL match. And hence it was no surprise when former India cricketer Aakash Chopra recalled an incident when Gambhir had lost his cool and got into a fight with a truck-driver in Delhi.

‘A bit serious but scored a lot of runs’

"Passionate guy. Very hardworking when it comes to his craft. A bit serious but scored a lot of runs. He always wore his heart on the sleeve. Temperament wise he can be very short-fused. But everyone has a different character.

"Gautam is someone who once fought with a truck driver in Delhi. He got out of his car and climb the truck to grab the collar of the driver because he made a wrong turn and was abusing. I was like, ‘Gauti, what are you doing?’ So that's made him Gautam," Chopra said.

What Lies Ahead For Team India?

Team India will begin their red-ball schedule and keep their case for the World Test Championship Final. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has named in the official squad first Test match against Bangladesh , which will take place at the MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai. The first test match will begin on September 19, 2024, at 09:30 AM IST.

The Indian Cricket Team have a test-heavy schedule lined up as they will also face New Zealand at home and Australia in an away series this year.
