Iceland Cricket Team Trolls Mohammad Hafeez

Iceland Cricket slammed Mohammad Hafeez for his comments about Pakistan's performance in the second Test against Australia. Following their decisive victory in the first Test, Australia won the series by defeating Pakistan by 79 runs at the Melbourne Cricket Ground. Despite a strong start, Pakistan's batting faltered in the second innings, losing their last five wickets for only 18 runs, falling short of the 317-run total.

Captain Pat Cummins was instrumental in the second innings, capturing 5 wickets. In response to the setback, Hafeez declared that Pakistan played superior cricket, a comment that was met with scepticism. Iceland Cricket took advantage of the occasion to criticise Hafeez, emphasising the irony of his words in light of Pakistan's remarkable collapse and Australia's overwhelming performance throughout the series.

Re-tweeting a post on X, Iceland Cricket replied:

“It’s amazing. How can the more talented and superior team have lost 16 matches in a row in Australia? Surely those lucky Aussies will stop being lucky soon,”

Australia will force Pakistan to continue their poor run

Pakistan has been unable to win a Test match in Australia since 1995, suffering a run of 16 straight defeats. Despite the fact that the series is already over, the visitors are hoping for a turnaround in the next third and final Test, which begins on January 3rd 2024. Pakistan's search for a Test victory in Australia has continued throughout this era, fueling their difficult ambition to end the long drought against the World Test Champions. Despite the difficult conditions and the series conclusion, Pakistan remained steadfast in their quest for a huge victory on Australian territory, hoping to change the narrative and end their two-decade wait for success in Test matches in Australia.
