Several reports described a chaotic scene where Robi was allegedly attacked in the stands, leading to a medical emergency.

What Happened?
Shortly after the second Test match began in Kanpur, videos surfaced showing Robi receiving medical attention in the stands, surrounded by police and medical personnel. Reports indicated that he was physically assaulted, with claims that local fans had snatched his Bangladesh flag and subsequently attacked him, leaving him injured.
Official Response
Despite the alarming social media posts, local authorities, specifically the Uttar Pradesh police, have refuted claims of an assault. Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) Abhishek Pandey stated that Robi's condition was not the result of an attack, but rather due to dehydration. He confirmed that Robi was admitted to Regency Hospital for treatment and has since recovered.
According to police updates, Robi is now in stable condition. They have emphasized that there was no evidence supporting the claims of an attack by Indian supporters. The situation was brought under control swiftly, with police ensuring the safety of all fans in the stands.

IND vs BAN, 2nd Test
Heavy showers brought about an early end to play on the opening day of the second Test between India and Bangladesh with the visitors placed at 107 for 3 in their first innings here on Friday.
Bangladesh scored 33 runs and lost the wicket of skipper Najmul Hossain Shanto (31) in the nine overs that could be bowled after lunch before the players walked off due to bad light.
Mushfiqur Rahim (6) and Mominul Haque (40) were at the crease during the break. For India, Akash Deep picked up two wickets and one wicket was secured by Ravichandran Ashwin .
