'We didn't talk much, he told me not to...': Kuldeep Yadav reveals Yuzvendra Chahal's advice

The Indian Cricket Team will now be seen in action against South Africa in 3 match ODI series after their T20I series ended in a draw. The first T20I was washed out, the 2nd game was won by South Africa with the DLS method, and the Suryakumar-led team emerged victorious in the last match by 106 runs to tie the series. The first ODI will be played on Sunday, December 17, 2023, at Wanderers Stadium under the leadership of KL Rahul.

Kuldeep Yadav reveals his conversation with Yuzvendra Chahal 

Indian left-arm wrist-spinner Kuldeep Yadav said that a positive chat with partner Yuzvendra Chahal helped him play so well in the third and final T20I against South Africa. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) shared a video in which Kuldeep thanked Chahal for all the support and friendship they've shown each other over the years.

Amazingly, Kuldeep got back to playing his best in T20Is. He had his best numbers for Team India in this event during the final match against South Africa. His great effort, in which he took five wickets and held them to 17 runs in 2.5 overs, was a key part of India's win, which tied the series at 1-1.

In the BCCI video, captain Suryakumar Yadav spoke to Kuldeep and inquired about his conversation with Chahal and how it had affected his performance. Kuldeep Yadav said: 

"Chahal bhai had a long flight, so we didn't speak much. Just met him last evening where he told me not to change too much about bowling. Even when things weren't great 2-3 years ago, he was always there for me. Hopefully, we will try to do well if we play together in ODIs,"
