'Touching moment for me': Murali Kartik lauds Gautam Gambhir's 'wonderful gesture' in Gwalior

In a touching display of respect, former India spinner Murali Kartik was left moved by Gautam Gambhir 's thoughtful gesture during the T20I series opener against Bangladesh in Gwalior. Kartik was invited by Gambhir to join the team huddle and present debutant Mayank Yadav with his maiden India cap.

As Murali Kartik addressed the huddle with enthusiasm, he couldn't help but reminisce about his own India debut. He fondly recalled the moment when legendary cricketers Sachin Tendulkar and Kapil Dev handed him his first India cap. The nostalgia was palpable as Kartik wished Yadav the best, surrounded by his new teammates.

Gautam Gambhir 's gesture was a wonderful display of respect for the former spinner, who was clearly touched by the inclusion. Murali Kartik took to social media to express his gratitude, highlighting the significance of the moment. The debut of Mayank Yadav marked a new chapter in his cricketing journey, and the presence of Kartik made it even more special.

IND vs BAN: As far as the Indian cricket team is concerned, the Suryakumar Yadav -led side handed a crushing 7-wicket defeat to Bangladesh to take a 1-0 lead in the three-match series. Mayank Yadav, who made his debut alongside Nitish Kumar Reddy, was phenomenal with the ball in his first match. Varun Chakravarthy and Arshdeep Singh also bowled brilliantly to bowl Bangladesh out for just 127 runs.

The Indian batters then took control in their hands and finished the chase within 12 overs. Sanju Samson , Suryakumar Yadav , and Hardik Pandya played superb knocks to take India home. The second T20I match is scheduled to take place in Delhi on October 9.
