The much-awaited Champions Trophy 2025 is a few months away and there are still speculations over will the Indian team travel to Pakistan or not. While speculations peak, India spinner Kuldeep Yadav has expressed his ‘excitement’ to travel to the neighbouring country for the marquee event. While addressing the press in an event in Australia as quoted by Cricket Pakistan, Kuldeep revealed that he has never been to Pakistan and hence would love to visit the country and play some cricket.

WHAT Kuldeep Said…

“As cricketers, we will play wherever we are sent. I have never been to Pakistan before, so I am excited. The Pakistani people are great, and whenever we get the chance, we will definitely go and play there,” Kuldeep said.

It is now going to be interesting to see the stance of the Indian government on this subject. India last played in Pakistan in 2008, losing the Asia Cup final by 100 runs to Sri Lanka in Karachi.

Will India Play in Pakistan

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) will ask ICC to host matches in hybrid mode in Dubai or Sri Lanka, sources said a few days back. While addressing India's participation in the BCCI source, told ANI, “India will not travel to Pakistan for the Champions Trophy 2025.”

It would be interesting to see ICC's stance on India's proposal to have the Champions Trophy in a hybrid model. The Indian cricket team recently won the T20 World Cup in West Indies. The Rohit Sharma-led side would be hopeful that they do well at the Champions Trophy. At the T20 WC, India beat Pakistan in a nail-biter in New York. India would surely be one of the favourites in that event come 2025.
