'Duty ke baad roz practice': Suryakumar Yadav lauds Musheer Khan with dialogue from MS Dhoni film

Musheer Khan, the young Mumbai prodigy, made an unforgettable impression in his debut Duleep Trophy match on Thursday, September 5. Playing for India B, the 19-year-old showcased his remarkable composure by scoring an unbeaten century against India A in a gripping encounter. Musheer scored an unbeaten 105 off 227 balls when his team was in trouble, helping them recover from 94 for 7 to finish Day 1 at 202 for 7 in 79 overs.

Suryakumar Yadav lauds Musheer Khan

Batting at No. 3, Musheer Khan stood tall for his team, displaying maturity far beyond his age. His innings proved pivotal in stabilizing the Abhimanyu Easwaran-led India B’s innings, and his gritty performance did not go unnoticed by one of India’s top cricketers, Suryakumar Yadav .

After Musheer Khan's remarkable century, India’s T20I captain Suryakumar Yadav took to Instagram to shower praise on the young batter. Sharing a picture of Musheer celebrating his milestone, Suryakumar wrote: “What a Knock my boy. Duty k baad roz practice, jitna duty utna practice. @sarfarazkhan97 happy elder brother.”

This line, a popular dialogue from the 2016 Bollywood biopic MS Dhoni : The Untold Story, highlighted Musheer’s dedication to the game, even drawing parallels with MS Dhoni’s journey of relentless practice. 

Musheer’s journey so far has been an inspiring one, and his century against India A reflects his potential as a future star for India. Notably, Sarfaraz Khan, who has been a constant source of guidance for Musheer, will be equally proud to see his younger brother make such a significant impact early in his career.

Suryakumar Yadav , who was expected to feature in the Duleep Trophy 2024 season, missed the initial round of matches due to an injury. He was seen watching the game between India A and India B from the sidelines.
