Cristiano Ronaldo reacts after winning the UEFA All-Time Best Player Award

Following his honour with the all-time top scorer trophy for the UEFA Champions League, Cristiano Ronaldo expressed thanks on social media. On August 29, in Monte Carlo, he received the award at a ceremony coinciding with the draw for the league portion of this season.

The five-time Ballon d'Or winner and the world's all-time top goal scorer responded on Instagram on getting the honour:

“Honored to receive this award from @championsleague for being the all-time top scorer of the competition. Grateful for all the support along the way! Thank you!”

UEFA gave Cristiano Ronaldo an exclusive award, which he gladly displayed during the 2024-25 UEFA Champions League draw. At the Monaco event, which was attended by several dignitaries and officials from European teams, the famed forward was the guest of honour.

The evening's high point was the unveiling of a revised draw system. Unlike the past league system, which substitutes the conventional group stage for teams now set to play eight matches instead of six.

Ronaldo also attracted notice when he was named the all-time Champions League top goalscorer with an award. His reputation in the sport is still unparalleled, even though he now plays for Al-Nassr in Saudi Arabia and no longer participates in Europe. Given the fact that he is 39 years old. He has always been a top performer in the competition.

Cristiano Ronaldo's outstanding record of 140 goals in 183 UEFA Champions League matches seems almost perfect in spite of the new structure alterations.

‘The MR. Champions League’ Cristiano Ronaldo has played for Manchester United, Real Madrid, and Juventus in the UEFA Champions League. Over his career, he obtained the trophy five times: once with Manchester United in 2008 and four times with Real Madrid in 2014, 2016, 2017 and 2018.
