Cole Palmer made a huge statement ahead of the UEFA Euro 2024 final vs Spain

After their Euro 2024 semi-final victory, Cole Palmer has said the England team was "buzzing," but he has advised the players to concentrate on completing the last action.

Thanks to a late strike by Ollie Watkins, England won the semi-final 2-1 over the Netherlands. This triumph has driven them to their second straight European Championship final, where they will square off against Spain on Sunday in Berlin. The Three Lions hope to break a 56-year drought in the men's game by turning out the first England men's squad to win the event.

Palmer said that following their victory, the team was charged and that music was blasting on the team coach returning to the hotel. Nevertheless, he underlined the need to keep concentration as Gareth Southgate's team is ready to take on a strong Spanish team that has won every game in the tournament.

Palmer remarked in an interview with England's YouTube channel:

"Everyone's buzzing. Last night on the bus, tunes were on, [in the] changing room, everyone was just enjoying it.

"But obviously it's a short turnaround and it's a massive, massive game to change our lives, our family's lives, and to make everyone proud. That's what we're trying to do.

"I think if you've got to this final then you have to hopefully finish the job. It's all good getting to the final, and you've got to enjoy it because you don't get many moments to enjoy. But, no, everyone just wants to win so bad."

England will now be seen in action against Spain in the UEFA Euro 2024 final. The final will be played on Monday, July 15, 2024 at the Olympiastadion Berlin Stadium.
