Kylian Mbappe Had Verbal Agreement With Premier League Club Before Finalizing Terms With Real Madrid

The transfer that took an eternity to finally complete culminated earlier in the year when Kylian Mbappe moved to Real Madrid. From the time when Mbappe was moving mountains at PSG , the Santiago Bernabeu looked like his ultimate destination, and the speculations of an eventual transfer never doused. Real Madrid always remained the front-runner to sign Mbappe and the club finally reaped the result of the incessant patience in June 2024. Liverpool Was Willing To Break The Bank For Kylian Mbappe

According to L'Equipe, Liverpool firmly monitored the progress of Kylian Mbappe 's transfer in 2022 and was willing to splurge as much as €200m to bring the player on board. Both parties reportedly reached a verbal agreement as well. However, Kylian Mbappe picked Real Madrid in the end.

Kylian Mbappe 's Starting Days at Real Madrid

Kylian Mbappe made his Real Madrid debut against Atalanta in the Super Cup final. Mbappe netted the second goal for Madrid in the 2-0 win and hence made a memorable beginning in white. In the La Liga, he has had a quiet start. He went goalless in the first three matches before scoring a brace against Real Betis in front of the Bernabeu crowd.
