Lionel Messi revealed his experience to an MLS star about his 2-year stint at the PSG

Former Charlotte FC player Brecht Dejaegere has said that Lionel Messi hated his time at Paris Saint- Germain ( PSG ). Dejaegere claims Messi confided in him after a game with Inter Miami.

Dejaegere said in an RTFB interview that Messi seemed surprised about his stay in the French city. The midfielder also observed that Messi didn't know they had crossed paths in Ligue 1 as well. Brecht Dejaegere revealed:

"At the final whistle, I asked him if he felt better in Miami than in France. He was surprised: I told him that I had played against him with Toulouse at the Parc des Princes. He didn't remember me, but it was my childhood dream come true. Messi has always been my favourite player! It was crazy to meet him. And so, that day, 'he told me that being at PSG was sh*t.'"

“Yes, 'sh*t'. Because if at the beginning, the welcome from the Parisians had been good, he had been taken against following the failure in the Champions League: he was whistled at every ball and he was fed up.”

Lionel Messi did not reach his FC Barcelona impression during his two-year contract with Paris Saint-Germain, playing 75 games and dishing out 35 assists along with 32 goals. His performance came to almost 6,509 minutes on the field. After a hiatus time in Paris, Messi joined Inter Miami in the summer of 2023, ever since then he has been enjoying his time on and off the pitch, recently winning the Supporters Shield in the MLS.
