Cristiano Ronaldo is perhaps the best Manchester United player of all time, as he is the last ever player from Manchester United not but also the whole Premier League to win a Ballon d’Or in 2008. He rocked the football world under Sir Alex Ferguson and contributed significantly to the team's victory. His comeback in 2021 had a significant influence on the club's success. Despite his second stint with the team being terminated owing to managerial changes, it does not alter Ronaldo's excellent history with the Red Devils, which continues to resonate with fans across the world.

Cristiano Ronaldo urges a total rebuild of Manchester United after the club's hiatus downfall

Following Sir Jim Ratcliffe's recent investment in Manchester United, Cristiano Ronaldo has underlined the necessity of a thorough makeover for the team. Ronaldo mentioned Ratcliffe's purchase of a 27.7% stake earlier this year and voiced hope for the club's future while talking about his controversial leaving. He did, however, warn that a return to the top of club football would call for patience and endurance. As quoted by ESPN India, Cristiano Ronaldo said:

"They [United] need to rebuild everything, in my opinion," Ronaldo, 39, said.

"This club needs time to rebuild because it's still one of the best clubs in the world, but they need to change. They understand that. This is the only way ... They're investing in the training ground ... So I'm happy because [things are changing]. I believe that the future will be bright.

“They have to rebuild from the bottom. If not, they cannot compete. It will be impossible. They can do good things, yes, they can win Carabao, yeah, but I mean, Champions League or Europa League or Premier League -- difficult, in my opinion. And I wish that I'm wrong, I wish, but [it] will be difficult.”

Well, Cristiano Ronaldo left Manchester United and went to start his new journey with the Middle East club, Al-Nassr, where he is back at his best, scoring goals day and day out. He also ended as the top goalscorer of 2023. On the other hand, Erik Ten Hag is still struggling with the squad. Speaking about his exit, Ronaldo added:

"I'm not happy the way it all [happened], but in the same way, we cannot control some points of our life sometimes," Ronaldo said.

“To prove that I'm right or wrong, this is not my issue anymore.”

Following a high-profile interview with Piers Morgan, Cristiano, Ronaldo, the greatest goal scorer of all-time, left Manchester United by mutual consent for contract termination after berating the team for not making investments throughout the 13 years he had left from Old Trafford and the unfair treatment from the struggling Dutch coach.
