Declared best player for England by Wayne Rooney of Manchester City , Phil Foden ranks higher than Cole Palmer and Jude Bellingham. The Manchester United symbol said he like Foden more than his other English colleagues.

Bellingham, bought by Real Madrid from Borussia Dortmund last year for around €103 million, adjusted fast to his new surroundings in Spain. He had a big influence in his first season with Los Blancos, enabling the squad to win the Champions League trophy and the La Liga championship. He scored 23 goals and provided 13 assists throughout 42 games.

Cole Palmer, who joined Chelsea from Manchester City last summer, turned out to be a very outstanding Blues player. In 48 games, the 22-year-old scored 27 goals and 15 assists, significantly helping Chelsea to finish sixth in the league. Although Bellingham and Palmer both make valuable contributions to their sides, Rooney underlined that Foden is now the best player England has produced. “Foden for me. I know he hasn’t played that much this season for City but I think Phil Foden at his best, you know, he’s the best player England have got."

“I think Cole Palmer’s been sensational over the last season and the start of this season. Jude Bellingham, obviously, what he’s doing at Real Madrid. But for me, Phil Foden is the only who I really enjoy watching."

However, Cole Palmer has been a top performer since the start of the new season with Chelsea with 6 goals and 5 assists, Bellingham is yet to secure a goal in the league and is looking to regain his last season’s form. Speaking of Wayne Rooney’s favourite, Foden has played 7 games this season so far scoring 1 goal and 1 assist.
