India at Paris Paralympics Day 2: Two Medal Events in Place for Para-athletics, Shooting Takes Aim

India has a chance to secure a medal in Day 2 of Paralympics as the para athletes will aim to open the country's medal tally. Check out the medal event details.

After Day 1 saw a world record being broken by para-archer Sheetal Devi, the Indian contingent will now feature on Day 2 of the Paris Paralympics. India has a chance to win a medal on the second day of the Paris Paralympics itself, as two medal events are in place. With strong medal-winning candidates in para-athletics and shooting, India has the opportunity to start their medal count with a dominant victory. Ahead of Day 2, let's go over the entire schedule and timings of all the events.

India's Day 2 in Paralympics: Athletics to Have Two Medal Events Today, Para-shooters & Shuttlers Also in Action

For India, two medal events are locked in today as Para athletics will be in action. The Women's discus throw F55 category will have India's hopes for a medal, with Karam Jyoti and Sakshi Kasana all set to be in action. They will be one of India's biggest hopes for a medal today. Another medal event in place will be in Para Athletics as Preethi Pal will compete in the Women's 100m T35 Category.

Speaking of the other events, badminton will also be in action with stars like Manoj Sarkar, Nitesh Kumar, Palak Kohli, Thulasimathi Murugesan, and more. Another highlight will be shooting, where defending champion Avani Lekhara, Mona Agarwal, Manish Narwal and Rudransh Khandelwal will compete against other para-athletes.
