'Source Of Inspiration': PM Modi's Message For Indian Contingent Ahead Of Paralympics 2024

The Paris Paralympics 2024 is about to go underway and the hopes are high from the Indian Contingent as the nation aims to better its tally of 19 medals at the previous Paralympics. 

As the Indian Contingent gets ready for Paralympics 2024, India's honourary Prime Minister Narendra Modi has sent a special message to all the para athletes ahead of the games in Paris. 

PM Modi's message to India's Paralympics Athletes

As India is about to begin its Paralympics campaign, PM Modi wished the Indian contingent to achieve success at the Paris games. 

PM Modi in his message assured the athletes that the entire 140 crore population of India will be supporting them and their determination is a source of inspiration for the nation.

“140 crore Indians wish our contingent at the Paris Paralympics 2024 the very best. The courage and determination of every athlete are a source of inspiration for the entire nation. Everyone is rooting for their success,” wrote PM Modi on his X account.

India aims to raise the bar at Paralympics

The Indian contingent is all set to compete in the upcoming Paris Paralympics games. After India won six medals (5 silver and 1 bronze) in the recently concluded Paris Games, the onus is now on the Para Athletes to bring more glory to the nation. A total of 84 Indian athletes will travel to Paris for the Paralympics.

India will want to better the performance of Tokyo Paralympics 2020. The Indian contingent had 54 athletes and had won 19 medals in total. This time around, India has sent 84 athletes who will compete across 12 sports, including 38 female and 46 male athletes.
