Novak Djokovic's flying campaign in the Paris Olympics just took a bump after the Serbian Tennis player seemingly re-injured his knee, which he had surgically repaired not too long ago. Djokovic was in action against Greece's Stefanos Tstsipas in the Men's quarter-final when he had to get some medical attention on his right knee, which he injured at the French Open. With the gold on the line, Novak looks to avoid any hiccups and he hopes to be ready for the upcoming challenges down the road.

Novak secured a 6-3, 7-6 (3) victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas to reach the semifinals, but the bigger issue would be his knee. After the match, the World No. 2 exclaimed that he is particularly concerned about it as well and has no exact information yet.

“I’m concerned about the state of the knee. I cannot give you exact information, because I don’t have it. I have to go and examine the knee now with my physio and with the medical staff of the tournament. And then let’s see. I’m hoping, I can be ready,” Djokovic said after the match.

Early in the second set at Court Philippe Chatrier against Stefanos Tsitsipas, Djokovic informed regarding severe discomfort in his knee. It is the same venue where Djokovic first tore his meniscus in a match at the French Open on June 3, which resulted in his elimination from the competition. After undergoing surgery in Paris on June 5, he was back in action at Wimbledon just over a month later. He played well enough to go to the final before falling to Spain's Carlos Alcaraz and wore a grey sleeve over that knee.

Djokovic, the 37-year-old Serbian will face Italy's Lorenzo Musetti on Friday at Stade Roland Garros.
