Paris Olympics 2024: Manu Bhaker has done the entire country proud by winning not only one, but two medals for India in the ongoing edition of the Summer Games. The 22-year-old Indian shooter became the first Indian female shooter to win a medal in the Olympics on July 28, 2024. Bhaker clinched a bronze in the women's 10m air pistol shooting event and has now ended up adding another medal to India's tally.

India have won two medals so far in the ongoing Paris Olympics and both of them have been won by Manu Bhaker. After her heroics in the women's 10m air pistol shooting event, Bhaker teamed up with her compatriot Sarabjot Singh to land India's second medal in the 10m mixed team air pistol event.

The shooters qualified for the bronze medal match on July 29, 2024 and defeated South Korea by a stellar 16-10 win. Sarabjot who competed in men's event earlier missed out on a podium finish, but ensured that he steps up in the mixed event and gets the second medal for India in the ongoing Paris Olympics. Bhaker has now solidified her legacy on the biggest stage and has earned herself some valuable praise from the 'God of Cricket', Sachin Tendulkar.
