US Open: Frances Tiafoe Sets Up All-American Clash at Men’s Singles Semifinal, to Face Taylor Fritz

After top competitors make a shocking exit, the race for the grand slam title has got spicy as multiple tennis stars have been grinding to get themselves a place in the final. As the hard court tournament heads into the final phase, an interesting match-up has been put in place where two American tennis stars — Frances Tiafoe and Taylor Fritz — will lock horns to advance in the 2024 US Open final.

All-American Semifinal set to happen at 2024 US Open after Frances Tiafoe, Taylor Fritz win quarterfinals clash
With Grigor Dimitrov's injury forcing him to retire in the fourth set, 20th-seeded Frances Tiafoe advanced to the final four of the US Open Men's Singles Tournament at Flushing Meadows for the second time in three years. Bulgaria's Dimitrov pulled out of the match with a 6-3, 7-6 (5), 6-3, 4-1 lead for Tiafoe. It was a big moment for Fritz as he clinched a spot in one of the most important matches of his career.
Frances Tiafoe will now meet the 12th-seeded Taylor Fritz, guaranteeing the host nation a men's finalist in its Grand Slam tournament for the first time since 2006. This also set up an all-American semifinal clash at the US Open Tennis Tournament.

This year, some of the top competitors for the US Open Grand Slam title have faced shocking defeats. Novak Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz are among those who perished ahead of the Round of 16 matchups. No. 1 ranked Jannik Sinner is the sole man who could be a threat to the other competitors in contention for the Grand Slam title.
Sinner will be in action in the men's singles quarterfinals against Daniil Medvedev, while Alex de Minaur will lock horns against jack draper to determine the remaining US Open Men's Singles semifinalists.
