Apple unveiled its mixed-reality headset, the Apple Vision Pro, at WWDC in 2023 and the device became available in select markets globally earlier this year. Now, a new report says that the company is reportedly developing a second-generation Vision Pro headset that could arrive sometime in 2026. The report also suggests that the company could launch Meta's Ray-Ban-like smart glasses sometime in 2027.

In his weekly Power On newsletter, Bloomberg's Mark Gurman says that Apple 's Vision Products Group is working on develop at least four new devices powered by Apple Intelligence. The first device of the lot is expected to be Meta's Ray-Bans-like smart glasses, which would arrive sometime in 2027. These smart glasses, just like Meta's smart glasses will enable users to capture images, listen to music and get information from Apple Intelligence.

The company is also expected to launch AirPods with cameras in 2027. Older reports suggest that the AirPods with cameras will use external cameras and artificial intelligence or Apple Intelligence to understand the surrounding environment and provide users with relevant information.

The third device that Apple is reportedly developing is a low-end Vision Pro like mixed-reality headset that is likely to arrive in 2025. This device is expected to be priced around $2,000 (Rs 1,68,800 approximately) and use a slightly 'inferior processor along with cheaper materials'. According to Gurman, this low-end device is likely to miss out on the Vision Pro's EyeSight feature that shows a user's eyes on the front of the Apple Vision Pro and lets the nearby people know when they are using apps and when they are fully immersed in an experience.

Lastly, the company is also working on the second-generation Vision Pro. This high-end mixed reality headset is likely to get more advanced Apple Intelligence features along with a faster chipset and is likely to arrive sometime in 2026. That said, Apple is yet to confirm any of these reports yet and it remains to be seen what new devices it plans to launch in future.
