Amazon gets into the action by launching Amazon Pay UPI for Android users and by now, we have lost count of the UPI-enabled payments apps we have in India. There is Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm, WhatsApp Payment, Truecaller, Freecharge, Mobikwik and more! And now that has Amazon has integrated UPI into Amazon Pay, we can compete with the likes of Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and more.

What is UPI

Short for Unified Payments Interface, UPI is created by National Payments Corporation of India (NCPI) that allows users to transfer or receive money in real time. Unlike NEFT, UPI eliminates the need for details like bank account number and IFSC code to transfer money from one account to the other.
