Brave browser has launched Brave 1.0, which will be paying its users and publishers for using the browser. How will you earn?

Brave promises that it will be more secure than other browsers as it will block third-party ads and trackers and will prevent videos from autoplaying. This will ensure better privacy. Brave will show ads to their viewers and pay them for the ads. It will not give third-parties access to your data, which will stop all the banner ads and pop up ads.

Instead, the browser will target the ads directly to a user while keeping the information secure. You will be able to adjust the number of ads you want to see each hour, and you will be paid based on the ads you view. The reward will be made in the form of blockchain tokens, which can be redeemed as cash with the browser's partner ‘Uphold’. You can also exchange those tokens for gift cards and restaurant vouchers.

How to download

To download the web browser on Windows, go to brave.com and click on download. You will download an installing package which has to be installed. After downloading and installing it, you can enjoy hassle-free browsing.

More about the browser and its privacy settings

The browser will have two private modes: ‘Private Window’ and ‘Private Window with Tor’. The first mode is just an incognito mode where no data will be recorded on the device. The second mode will give the users access to a mode called Tor which is also known as The Onion Router. This browsing mode will help you hide your data under encryption and keep it passing through three relays. However, Brave suggests that you should switch to Tor’s own browser if security and anonymity are absolutely necessary.
