Rocket League gamers on Sony PlayStation 4 (PS4) can now indulge in cross-platform gameplay courtesy the Cross-Play beta program that lets gamers indulge in gameplay with players owning other PS4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles across the globe. This requires manual enabling on the part of gamers.
For starters, players with the PlayStation Cross-Beta enabled can play against gamers of other platforms in all the in-game modes viz competitive, casual, and extra game modes. To enable cross-play functionality, players on PS4 platforms could navigate to Main Menu > Options > Cross Platform Play within Gameplay.
The new enhancements above are said to be live currently, which means that PS4 gamers should be able to indulge in cross platform Rocket League wars with other gamers on other rival platforms. Do check these out and share thoughts/insights.
In case you are able to check out the cross platform gameplay feature, it is only natural that you get to know how to join players on other platforms. To join., navigate to Play > Main Menu > Private Match > Create (to set a new match in progress to invite other players) > Join Private Match ( to join matches created by players on different platforms).
