If you have been watching the results of the Lok Sabha Elections 2019 on your mobile phones, by searching on Google for the election results, then did you observe that the Google Search on your phones has been revamped? There is a new look for Google Search on mobile phones, thereby a user interface (UI) refresh.
Google has effected the new changes to the way your search results would look from now on. This includes the likes of the website representing your search results and the related icons of these websites appearing at the top of the results card; Google states that these new mechanisms would help you better search/explore search results whilst being able to clearly decide the next navigation path.
Also, Google states that whenever you search for custom services or products on Google Search, there would be advertisements (ads) related to these services/products, in a bold form above the search results card. This information also includes details such as the address of the website related to your searches; thereby giving you full details of the source of the information you sought to know.
“As we continue to make new content formats and useful actions available from buying movie tickets to playing podcasts, this new design allows us to add more action buttons and helpful previews to search results cards, all while giving you a better sense of the web page’s content with clear attribution back to the source,” stated Google in an official blog post.
As of now, you should know that the above “refreshes” are restricted to only mobile phone searches (on Google), it is not known if these would ever roll out to searches through desktops. If it does, then it would be good to view. Don’t you think so?
