What is Google bomb?

Google Bomb is a technique used to make a particular search result appear for a particular search term on Google. In a nutshell, it affects Google SEO (Search Engine Optimisation). Google bombing is done by creating multiple links to a particular website from pages including the specific search term (in this case, bad writers)

Here’s what has happened

Angry Game of Thrones fans from the /r/FreeFolk subreddit have succeeded in getting a picture of the showrunners D.B. Weiss and David Benioff to rank for the search term “bad writers” on Google search. According to The Verge report, Business Insider and Metro have verified the success of Redditor’s campaign.

However, “Bad writers” is not the only term that angry Redditors have tried to associate with the images of D.B. Weiss and David Benioff. Some Redditors have also tried to rank images of Weiss and Benioff for other search terms such as “Di*kheads” and “Dumb and Dumber.”
