Now that our festival of colours is almost upon us, we can soon expect Happy Holi greetings to pour in from every corner of social media as well as instant messaging apps like WhatsApp. But unlike before, WhatsApp now allows users to share WhatsApp stickers to greet their friends and family members. What’s more, you can even create your own, custom WhatsApp stickers. This Holi, we show you how to do just that.

How to send Holi WhatsApp stickers

Sending stickers to your friends and relatives on WhatsApp is fairly easy. However, remember that not all kinds of stickers exist on WhatsApp by default. Some of them also need to be downloaded or installed on your WhatsApp and in some cases, you have to create stickers on your own. Whatever the case may be, we show you how to download and share Happy Holi stickers on WhatsApp.

Step 1: Make sure that you have the latest version of WhatsApp running on your phone. In case not, you can keep your WhatsApp up-to-date through either Google Play Store (Android) and App Store (iOS). You can sideload WhatsApp by visiting its official website.

Step 2: Go to WhatsApp  > open any chat window. Now, tap the emoji icon located at the beginning of the message box. Tap the Stickers icon at the bottom. Here, you can see all the available stickers for you to share using WhatsApp.

Step 3: Holi stickers aren’t available by default. So, you have to tap the + icon located at the top right corner of WhatsApp stickers menu. Scroll all the way down where you will find an option ‘Get more Stickers.’ Tapping the option will take you right inside the Play Store.

Step 4: Scroll down a little and you will come across ‘Holi Stickers for WhatsApp (WAStickersApps).’ Open the app page and hit the Download button. You can find more such WhatsApp such stickers. Download the ones you want.

Step 5: Once you have downloaded those stickers, open the app. Each WhatsApp stickers app contains multiple WhatsApp stickers packs. Download the ones you want by tapping the + icon. You will be prompted “Would you like to add (Stickers pack name) to WhatsApp?” Tap the option ‘Add.’

Step 6: Once done, a message will flash saying that those stickers have been added to your WhatsApp. Now, go to WhatsApp and follow Step number 2. Locate all the Holi Stickers pack you have just added and start using them.

How to create custom Holi stickers

Step 1: On Google Play Store, search and download the app ‘ Sticker maker for WhatsApp.’ Do keep in mind that this is a third-party app. So you have to be a little cautious. Download and Install the app on your Android smartphone.

Step 2: On the main screen, it provides an option to create a new custom WhatsApp stickers pack. All you need to do is enter some basic details such as Stickerpack name and author name. Once done, tap the option 'Create.'

Step 3: You can upload up to 30 stickers to each sticker pack on WhatsApp. You can select images from your phone’s gallery or capture a new picture using your phone's camera. It allows you to crop the sticker area. You need a minimum of three stickers to publish your sticker pack.

Step 4: Go to a WhatsApp chat window and open the Stickers menu. Tap the + icon and then tap ‘My Stickers’ tab. Read our previous article to know more about custom WhatsApp stickers.
