Whatsapp is one of the popular instant messaging applications that is widely used all over the world. WhatsApp beta for Android has recently been updated. It brings new emojis and tweaks some of the existing ones. The company is also reportedly working on letting you watch Netflix videos within the app. The feature is under testing, and it is expected to roll out for the users soon. WhatsApp has introduced a new feature recently. It is called the dark theme feature. The dark theme has become a trend these days with every application introducing it. They are working on bringing the dark theme for both Android and IOS users. However, you can totally try it on Whatsapp Web.

To try out the new dark theme, first, you need to download the latest version of the browser you are using, that is, either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox. After this, download the ‘stylus extension’  to try the dark theme feature.

How to enable this feature

Step 1 – Download the stylus extension. For Google Chrome users, it is available on the Google Chrome web store. For Firefox users, it is available in the FireFox to add ons.

Step 2 -Install the extension by clicking on the link.

Step 3- Once the installation is complete. Open  https://web.whatsapp.com/ on your browser. If the whole process is successful, the dark theme will open automatically.

It also provides different coloured themes, including the dark theme. You can also disable the dark theme easily. Simply click on the extension and check the box that says “Turn off all styles”. This will revert the interface to the original theme. The dark mode is available on Android q beta and on iOS 11 or the latest versions. A Dark Default Wallpaper was spotted recently within WhatsApp for Android beta version 2.19.327. Similarly, WhatsApp for iPhone is speculated to include two distinct versions of the Dark Theme, utilising different shades of black.
