With the Indian general elections slated to be held very soon, these would commence from 18 April in the state of Karnataka and also goes on for another day - which is 23 April. Naturally, with these dates fast approaching, there are bound to be confusions in your minds with respect to details such as searching name in electoral rolls, finding out which polling booth you need to go to cast your vote, and more. Now, there is an official Chunavana App to give you all these details with just a single click.

Chunavana - a Kannada term roughly translating to Elections is currently available for both Google Android as well as Apple iOS mobile users. The app gives you details such as constituency details, your polling booth, the address and location of the polling booth, and the details of candidates contesting in your constituency.

You could search your name in the electoral roll via your Name as well as the EPIC number. However, the seemingly biggest USP of this app is that it displays navigation distance from your current location to the polling booth.

Then, you could also check out the election schedules across Karnataka. As well as the list of appointed election officers. You could use these details to initiate contact with the concerned officers at any point in time during the elections.

Another USP is the fact that the specially-abled people could also locate wheelchair facility to enable to cast votes. This is complemented by the free pick-up and drop facility for the specially-abled.

Android users can navigate to the Google Play app repository. iOS subscribers could check out the iTunes store. The app is free of cost, and potentially eliminates the hazards involved in fishing out election-related details.
