Apple has announced the availability of Microsoft Office 365 on Mac App Store. In their recent blog post, Cupertino giant announced that Microsoft's Office 365 is now available to download on Mac App Store. Meaning, macOS users can download Microsoft's signature apps like Word, PowerPoint and Excel directly via Mac App Store.
Apple revealed in their recent blog post that Office 365 supports Mac-exclusive features like Dark Mode and Continuity Camera in macOS, in addition to the MacBook Pro Touch Bar and Mac's trackpad.
During the last year's Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC), Apple promised to bring Microsoft Office 365 in Apple Store by the end of 2018. However, the availability of Microsoft's office 365 in Apple Store clearly took a bit longer than what was promised.
"Apple and Microsoft have worked together to bring great Office productivity to Mac users from the very beginning. Now, with Office 365 on the Mac App Store, it's easier than ever to get the latest and best version of Office 365 for Mac, iPad and iPhone," said Phil Schiller, Apple's Senior Vice President of worldwide marketing.
A news agency quoted Apple as saying that users can subscribe to Office 365 within the apps that are "designed specifically to support features that are unique to the Mac experience."
Corporate Vice President of Microsoft, Jared Spataro said that they are working closely with Apple to provide their users with what he calls "the very best productivity experience" designed for the Mac system.
Corporate employees can get Microsoft's Office 365 apps using Apple's Business Manager, which is a central dashboard for businesses to distribute office tools and features designed for Apple gadgets.
